I have a pair of B/W Ocellaris clowns in my tank that seem to be paired but haven't spawned. The larger female is a few months (6?) older (got her first as a juvenile), spends most of her time in a xenia colony, and clearly dominates the other. The male usually hangs out around the xenia but rarely enters, even at night. They have been together well over a year and have gone through the fighting/twitching phase.
They have a few tankmates in my 90g: one hogfish, one lawnmower blenny, one purple pseudochromis, and 5 blue/green chromises. I rarely if ever see any quarrels between the clowns and the other fish at this point. I have a regular 5-hour photoperiod (timer) and regular feedings during the daylight hours.
Are there any particular things I should be doing to encourage spawning?
Thanks for tips!
