I've got a nice tenus I picked up maybe 3 weeks ago that's starting to have white tips. It looks like the flesh is gone and it's just bare skeleton. It's not growth, I know that for sure. Everything else in the tank is looking fine.
About 2 months ago I got a new CA reactor and my Alk was through the rough, it was off the Salifert test, easily 17 dhk. I've been slowly lowering that and I'm now in an area I'd like to stay. This coral was introduced into the tank when the alk was around 14 or so. Any chance that is the problem?
Params as of this morning:
Cal: 430
Alk 10.9
Temp: 79.8
Ph 8.35
