Tips on using a Casio Exilim EX-Z700

I have a Casio Exilim EX-Z700. Its a 7.2mp. I cant take a good or even decent tank shot to save my life. There are very few manual settings to mess with. Has anybody got any decent results with this camera?

As Close as I Can go (and still be able to tell what it is)

My tank only has one 24" 10,000K T-5 cheap light.

I want a digital SLR but dont have $1000 extra bucks floati around so my lil point & shoot will have to do for now.

Thanks. I'm going to need to read that again to get a handle on it. The only manual settings i can change are ISO & white bal. Otherwise i have to choose from several preset options. It kinda sux. I guess i gotta start saving...
