*Tissue Necrosis question*

What are some of the more common causes of STN (slow tissue necrosis) and RTN (rapid tissue necrosis) with SPS?

Once necrosis begins is it reversible, or should one frag healthy parts of the coral in an attempt to save the colony?

Yes it can be reversible if the conditions are corrected. Sometimes you never know what caused it so not much of a chance to save them except fragging a healthy part and hoping for the best. If the necrosis is fast you need to get a frag pronto. If its slow its ok to watch it and see if it keeps progressing. If it continues to decline clip a healthy piece. If the colony is large take a couple cuts for better chances.
