i bought a small acropora frag last Saturday... it is about 2 inches tall and 2 inches across with around 12 stalks...
when i got home, i immediately noticed that there is a part between the stalks that does not have tissue... it's just white... the price tag at the petshop indicates that they have gotten this coral on May 12... i've went back to look at this coral around 3 times in the past 10 days before i bought it...
when i got home, i also tested the petshop's water and it was less than ideal.. nitrates is at around 12.5mg/l and calcium is only at 245ppm...
the tissue recession does not look like it has gotten any worse since i bought it but then again, i've only had for 2 days... i was just wondering if this should be any cause of concern...
