Titanium Heaters

I run visitherms now and find them so so at best. Been looking for an all round tougher heater to do about 200+ gallons. is there a better style / brand of these Titanium Heaters than others ? Pros and or cons of a Titanium Heater as well.

Or is there one up from even these - something even better?

thanks Ron

The Jalli titanium heaters are pretty good, as are the Won brothers. Although the Won brothers controllers have been having a lot of problems. But in any event you should have a temperature controller like a medusa or Ranco to correct that. I would say that any titanium heater is good, but their controllers almost always suck. Get a titanium heater, and a good single or dual stage temperature controller. Good luck.

The only con that comes to mind is that they can short out killing everything in your system, even with a ground probe. A friend of mine had this happen a few months ago.

I run two Finnex titanium heaters on a dual Ranco controller. Is working well, knock on wood.

I agree with the Finnex heaters also, they have been serving me well for a third winter. It was a good idea to go with a lesser wattage and mutiple heaters. More surface area exposed to the water means less wear on the heater. TinMan
