Hi All,
I have been twinkeling around with the arduino controller for the past several months. I have created a several prototypes so far, and i am currently testing another approach to control my lights.
At the moment I am using the NPN transistor method to control the intensity of the lights, however it has one major draw back, It won't work below 1v.
I was wondering if anyone here has tried implementing the circuit using the TLC5940 chip. The chip has support for up to 12 12-bit PWM channel which has much higher resolution than the PWM provided by the arduino, which if i am correct is 8 bit.
The other benefit of this chip is that i can supply it with a 10 v line.
I would be interested to see what the rest of you guys think.
