To buy or to build?

Euro Reef has sumps on sale 50% off... so the size sump for my system would cost $180 after shipping.

However I could build my own sump out of a 20g tank and some panes of glass... total cost probably $40-50....

So... Buy the nice sump... or build?

Buy, getting the glass to fit right is a pain. Unless you are like me and like to tinker and build things. THat is a heck of a deal on the ER ones.

I built my last one, it wasn't very hard but the glass shop did have to grind the baffles twice to get them to fit correctly. The ER ones do have some nice features like the intake box with lid to cut down the noise.

build, you will always know its done right to your specs if you do it yourself.

I bought a ER skimmer so I know if I buy a ER sump they two would fit correctly.
