To carbon or not to carbon this is the question?

Ok I just got my first zoos on friday and after reading through alot of threads in this section I saw a post or 2 that said zoos don't care for carbon well since I curently run carbon and want my zoos to be happy should I remove it or leave it? If I remove it should I remove it all at the same time or remove it little by little?

I've had zoas in tanks where I've run carbon and tanks that I havent run carbon. While its far from a scientific study, I'd venture a guess that carbon doesnt really play a difference in the health and well being of zoas.

I think the question here is this, do your zoanthids look healthy? Is your tank stable? If so, then I'd say removing the carbon isnt necessary, though if you do want to remove it, removing it all at once (unless you're running tons and tons of carbon, which would be odd) would be fine.

Well i think carbon is needed in any system no matter what cause improves the water condition .... and thats a requirement for any coral... and well keeps you water crystal clean.... well thats what i've seen cause when i forget to change my carbon and is too old water starts to look funny and then put new unit and bualah crystal clean tank again.... well ignore me but this is what i think... :D
