To catch a damsel???

Well goslugsgo brought over the fish trap he made, but unfortunately it was a little to big. I really like the style of the trap, so I made one that would fit in my tank, following his design.

It is a hatch door style, I used weldon to attach the black strips that to attach it to the top of the tank and hold it in place. On the right side I drilled a hole and stuck a piece of 1/2" tubing in it, on the other end I put a funnel on it, this way I can feed the back of the trap, without taking it in and out to put food in it.

Now....my problem is, one of my Lyretail Anthias has decided to make this his "home", if any other fish even think about coming near the trap he chases them off. He pretty much just perches himself in there now waiting to be fed. To bad I wasn't trying to catch an Anthias.
So the stupid little blue damsel I am trying to catch won't go near the trap.

Any further suggestion??

I would really like to rid my tank of this guy.

Thanks for any and all help.

like bcolvin said, use a hook. You will honestly catch it in less than 2 seconds if it's an avid eater. I have caught over 50 fish using this method and it usually happens before I have a bucket ready.

I caught a clown that bit me every time I put my hand in and I finally got him with the middle-of-the-night-blinding-him method. It was so easy I truly could not believe I had wasted weeks trying to get him during the day.
For the ones who sleep in the rocks, I caught a pseudochromis that was the terror of the tank with a hook once and it worked great. go to the fly shop and buy the smallest BARBLESS hook you can get (file off the barb if you can't find barbless) as getting them off if there is a barb is really hard if they catch it in the wrong part of their mouth.
If other fish get there first just pull it away.
