To drill or not to drill. That is my question

Got this aio 100g and I just don't think any job skimmer will work well enough. I have a curve 7 on the bench and I think it could be a good idea to drill and add a sump. Attached is a pic of the sump, any ideas on how/ where to add bulkheads. I attached a pic with the overflow guts and a drain fitting I have to incorporate that. FYI bio balls got chucked

Hello there I have a 90 gallon setup mixed reef using all hang on filters and skimmer with 3 power heads 3 inches of sand and 150 pounds of rock 12 fish all is well. I have pictures posted in my album.

Drill it. It looks so much better and you have heavier duty filtration. Wish I drilled my 65 out before I set it up

The old wet/dry bio-balls set up you have for a sump tends to drive up the nitrates in a tank, I would recommend making a few modifications to eliminate the bio balls. I would dump the drain lines into the left hand side chamber of the sump (you could add an optional filter sock there as well), place the skimmer in either that first chamber if will ft or in the second chamber, remove all the bio balls and replace them with rock and a macro algae and then use the third chamber as your return pump section things will work much better.

yeah that's what I have now. 2 chambers of LR. was debating weather to drill from the back or the bottom. bottom would be easier since my stand has a cutout along the back. Just wondering how my LR chambers will keep a constant water level with water going down to the sump.
