We have a ORBIT compact light it is 24" long with 2-65watt compacts and two lunar lights.-$80 We also have a 20gl tall tank with a pine stand and a millennium 3000 filter and regular flourecent light $100.
In case anyone was wondering about the light, I have the same exact light, which I paid over $200 for it, I have had it for a year and a half, it has been in use the full time and I have not had to change any of the bulbs at all. I don't have any corals in it so I don't worry about it, but it is a fantastic light and the bulbs last forever. Wish I ran across this buy a year and a half ago.
I didn't know that, thanks Ron, that would be why my tank has that problem. You would think just the opposite, that the brighter lights would cause the algea, but then again, this is the darker, brownish algea, so this must be the problem.
