To rainbow rose anemone or not..

Wanted to ask what you guys think on adding a rainbow rose to my tank.. I have some really nice rainbow roses I've had for a while that are in my frag tank and it's literally a weekly argument in my head to add one to the 105g.

I know the risks but I see all these totm and awesome sps dominant tanks rocking roses in the tank and I'm envious of them and I have some nice nems.. I literally have had one in a container hovering over the tank but pussed out lol..

Would you risk it? Put this

Into this

I barely have enough room for frags lol but. I still need to see what the club thinks and if I should adapt until it finds its spot..

I would wait for your SPS to grow bigger to reduce risk of total die off in case it is stung. Also, I would create a "rock pseudo barrier" of sorts to help make it have to "climb over stuff" to move. And give it a nice foot crevice so it can anchor well and deep into a hole, but still get light. Less likely for it to move.

Maybe get a piece of rock you can "house it in". Then keep it off your main rock structure. This way, you can move/adjust it whenever it starts to "wander".

I agree with Ron, I have my RBT on a rock that's disconnected from the rest of the structure if in case it decides to explore around I can move that rock around or turn it so the anemone will end up on the original spot of the tank.
That's a beautiful nem by the way!

Yeah I'm battling inside to do it =). I've been keeping nems for 13 years and have a few tricks to keep them in place (usually lol) That box they are in is a acrylic box I made a few years ago and made them stay in it.. I can probably move the box and place it inside some rock work but Idk I Def don't want 3 in there lol..

Thanks I'll look at seeing if I have anyway to add a Island rock somewhere that doesn't really touch the rest of the tank like you guys suggested..

I see all the other tanks just rocking them.. I should have put one in in the beginning honestly and I wouldn't have to worry to much about it after it settled.. Live and learn =).

Only if your willing to deal with the repercussions if something goes wrong. It's the risk you take. For me, I hated how much real estate they take up when they get big.
