To use mangroves in sump?

I was just wondering if any one here has mangroves in their sump? If so, are the really as useful as they say and do they grow super fast? Can they be trimmed? What lightinmg is needed?

From my experience they are difficult to grow ,grow slowly ,and are not nearly as effective as many types of macro algea for nutrient export .Cheato morpha (spelling) being the best

I do not believe they can export nutrients nearly as fast as macroalgae unless they are very large. But some folks do seem to like them.
