I have a large toadstool cap is at least 12 inches in diameter. A couple of days ago I noticed it had some discoloration and it has what looks like brown veins in some parts of it. The veins seem to disappear and reappear. Also it seems to have slumped over, used to stand very upright and now it leans forward (this might be from a new location in tank)

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRICIATED

Where in the tank is it? How far down from the lighting, what kind of lighting?? Increased flow or decreased flow in new location? Picture?

Without pic hard to say for sure, my experance would say it adjusting (for better or worse) to the new location's flow/light.

trying to figure out how to put picture from my album on link. I have a 12 bulb T5 light, moderate flow, and it is in the middle of my tank. It is about 10 inches from light on average (it is pretty large). The rock it is attached to is on the bottom of the tank, so I can't get it any lower.

i dont know much but you can try a pice of plastic egg crate thay sell it at hardware stores to cover lighting fixtures like in offices .
a pice between your light and the tank will partily shade the leather without loosing all the light.
and if its the flow a pice on eather side can help slow the flow.
thin again it may be sloufing if it was touched to much my fanger leather does it from time to time .once it took 2 weeks .

toadstool like fine now, sometimes polyps are retracted off and on during the day, but overall looks better and the vein looking lines are gone. I did a water change the other day so maybe that helped, but it was on its regular schedule so who knows.
