toadstool laying down

i bought a toadstool and all seemed well, until recently in the mornings it is standing up and looking awesome, but in the evenings it is laying down on its side and all closed up and im not sure why. also it might be pointless to mention, but my clown fish recently starting hosting it. any help would be much appreciated

I bought a devils hand about 6mths now and it does the same thing every day but just reverse. Down in the morning and up all during the evening

is it harming your devils, i dont mind it if it is harmless, but ive come to love my toadstool. its a neon green polyp toadstool, and i think it is a beautiful edition to my tank .

Nope.........its not harming the devil whatsoever. At first i was afraid. then like thats just normal for it. It lays down and touches my zoas. Its about 6-8" tall and 4"dia. its stalk is about 1 1/2". It sheds on a regular basis.
how big is the toadstool. I have one about 10-11"dia now and its my best coral in my tank (knock on wood)
wont be able to send a pic at the moment cause i'm working offshore.

mine is small its about 4in tall and 1in wide, i just got it a few weeks ago and its already doubled in size

I have a toadstool that recently developed a hole in its oral disk that I can only see when all of the polyps are retracted. But all throughout the day the polyps are out, so the coral seems as happy as ever. Anybody ever seen/heard of this before?

Just keep an eye on it... As long as it doesn't start to fall apart then it is probably just going thru a wierd phase or getting ready to shed..

Every leather I have tried has done some same thing.. It will lay down for a couple of days to a week, then polyps will come back out and it stands up and acts normal again.. Even the one in my current tank did the same thing.. Full polyps for about 3 days and then 1 week of laying down, and now it's polyps are coming back out and it's grown another lobe..

must be something in the air or moon cycles right now...my toad has been laying down for three days now too...i dont fret over this too much though...i have had several leather do this for sometimes weeks on end, always come back looking better then ever though...

my toad fell down and was laying on top of my devils hand, then some how my torch got a hold of it and dragged it over for a light snack...i pulled it from the clutches of my torch and it seems fine sitting on my devils hand no harm seems to be coming to either coral from this..
