Toadstool Leather Propagation

I recently redid my rock work and pulled away a rock from this toadstool. It seems happy but I'm wondering if I take a razor and cut the bottom there where it's already split, will it grow another one? Thanks in advance.

In most cases, any healthy flesh left behind will grow into a new leather.

that's awesome! when I broke mine apart while rearranging like you did, my pincushion urchin cleaned up the broken off part lol

I did the same thing. I cut it and stuck the head and remaining stalk in a hole in the rock. nothing for a week and now the polyps are returning.

Nature is awesome! I cut off a piece of Neon Green Toad from a base rock. I'm dying to see if a new coral grows from the base where I got it.
