Toadstool leather question

I rescued a toadstool leather from a very bad maintained tank. Ever since I put it into my tank it has not looked good, it has not extended. That has been 3 weeks. It was under t5 and not great flow, now under Led's and good flow, I turned down my lights and brought them back up very slow. Anyone have a idea on what to try next. Thanks

What are your parameters? What other corals do you have in the tank? Are you running any GAC? If not, this might help. A LOT of chaotic flow is also very important for these corals to thrive IME.

These corals can be temperamental. Keep things stable for a while and see what happens. People tend to tinker with flow and lighting which just bugs them. They can stay closed up for long periods of time (months). I have mine lower in my tank with leds and they opened up quickly. As long as they look like they aren't melting or start getting diseases you should be fine.

All my levels are normal, the tank is mostly softies and they are doing great. Thanks for the info. It is doing ok not coming apart, I will just leave it alone.

My toadstool was not looking good after I epoxyd it to my rock cause my giant turbo snail would always knock it over. I thought it was dieing it didnt have its green tentacles out for like 2 weeks and looked shrivled up now it's retracting like crazy and seems ok
