Toadstool location

What is the best location to put a neon green toadstool leather? Best location, I mean where it will grow fastest. My tanks a have halides too.

What size tank do you have, and what kind of lighting? I don't know toadstools personally so someone else will have to help out here. But if I did, I'd need to know that in order to suggest something.

i have a large green tentacle toadstool.. i have mine place pretty high in tank with a lot of water current hitting it.. it grows pretty quickly there.. i have 3 150w 10k mh with 8 39 watt t5 bulbs ... hope this helps

Toadstools are pretty flexible, but for best results, Moderate to Moderate/High Flow and Moderate to High Light.

ghOst is correct. You definitely want them higher in your tank where light intensity is better and in an area that has medium to high flow rates. A good rule of thumb to follow is the flow rate should move the polyps well and with current hitting it from different directions just just from one side as this would mimic conditions from where they are native to. If you have one of the Yellow Fiji leathers it is even more important that they receive as high a light intensity that you can give them such as would be with acroporas.

With my neon green toadstools I start them out low in the tank, then over a couple week period move them up higher. I am running DE 250w lights though. They do like more light, and you will be able to tell the difference from moving them within a week or so (both in size and polyp color/extension). Best of luck!
