Toadstool shedding non-stop. Normal?

Actually, it's all my leathers in my tank for the past 2 months or more they all have been shedding non-stop. They will open their polyps for a day or 2, then go back into shedding.
They're in a mixed reef, Softies, LPS, SPS, nem's.

Salt: 1.025. Calc: 460, Alk: 9.5, pH: 8.2, temp: 80, phosphates: 0.02 or less, nitrates: 0.
I also run GFO and Carbon that gets changed every month.

Anyone have any ideas?? I'd like to see my green toadstool open more than once a month!

I'm having the same issue with a devils hand leather. I've noticed with mine that there are a lot of pods running around on it and i thought maybe it was being irritated and shedding with the irritation.

It could be that they are conducting chemical warfare against each other. Do you run a skimmer?
They seem to be pretty fussy as far as salinity/pH goes, if it is fluctuating a lot, they could be getting irritated.

I doubt it is the pods, they should be no more irritating than the water current.

I figured out my leathers issue, it was too high in my tank, i put it in the sand bed to recover and it's back to looking fairly decent. I need to find it a lower perch.

Yes - I run a way oversized skimmer.
I decided to do something a bit more.... drastic. I setup my old 90g tank and moved all the softies and a couple LPS into it. It's only been up 3 days, but all the softies have been out since I've done that. Still running 250w halides over them.

Placement, placement, placement. I moved my leather six inches up in the rockwork and it began opening up fully every day. Prior to that it shed and shed and shed on the sandbed. Give it a shot.
