Toadstool vs Cleaner Shrimp

I have a toadstool and a cleaner shrimp. the shrimp has decided the underside of the toad is his spot. As soon as you walk by or anything else, he is on top of the toad. Resulting in a ticked off toad pulling back any polyps the shrimp touches. ALL DAY LONG. :headwallblue: it is starting to drive me crazy.

outside of crazy, will it affect the toadstool? or am i just being ocd. pic for reference.

How long has it been going on? I wouldn't worry if it has only been a few days. Maybe try spot feeding in one area of the tank away from the toadstool, then the shrimp will hang out where it knows it will get food.

how long? ever since i put the toadstool in there 2 weeks. forgot to mention in first picture lights just came on, so no pe at the time. he just keeps ticking random spots off making polyps retract. they will come back out and he'll tick it off a minute later.

I would try spot feeding and just keep an eye on everything. If the toadstool looks health then i wouldnt worry about it. Just keep close eye on it

If you JUST put the toadstool in there, the shrimp is just checking it out. Mine goes all over everything, sometimes violently, when its first introduced.

ive seen that behavior in him before, this isnt the same. its his docking station now.

Just swat it off the toad until it learns its not a safe place. HAHA ! Is that evil?

^its not, :lolspin:. I have been doing that every chance my hand is in the tank. He gets me back though, he'll sneak up and start cleaning my arm and I don't see him. He'll get a good pinch in there that will startle me.
