today is a sad day :(

i woke up this morning...and as usual, i glimpsed at my fish tank before getting ready for school....like always, i find the fish swimming around as happy as ever.....and all of the corals look intact and that nothing has fallen over because of a evil snail or hermit

...but something just felt wrong...i finish up getting ready to leave....and because i believe i have OCD (geez, i even count my snails so i know if a death happened recently)...i looked at my tank before i leave

OHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOO!!!!.....where is the flashy red color in my tank?!?!?!?

where is he?.....my cleaner shrimp has gone AWOL!!!.....so today is a sad dad....mr. shrimp you will be missed!...as you were the coolest shrimp ever....watching your prickling feet wobble back and forth so you can make it to the top of the tank during feeding times will always be a priceless memory to me

but "where did you go?!?!?" will always remain a mystery....did the Gold Coral Banded Shrimp finally get you?....you left without any signs, atleast you could have dropped one final exoskeleton ....mr shrimp, where you are...i hope that the life you had here was a great one

LOL....i hope you guys enjoyed my sad day

I like to believe there is a glorious 1,000,000 gallon reef tank in the sky with perfect filtration and the water parameters are always pristine. It is filled with such creatures that are never seen or heard from again..I have added many additions to this tank over these few years..including several fish and shrimps :)

hopefully it's molting or hiding. I just moved my black and onyx clown to my 80. Fine for 2 days, then the onyx is missing for 2 days, so I figured it died and the starfish ate it. Well just yesterday I found the onyx hosting some xenia that must have came loose from the main colony and made its way to the back of the tank. I gotta figure out how to get to it to move it....lol

I went through this a couple of times . It was with my coral banded and my fire shrimp. They just like to find deep dark secure places. Give it a few days before ya sign the death cert , he might be just hiding.

THAT IS FUNNY!!

i have a tiny tank compared to most people here...a 20 gallon...so there's not much room for him to hide....plus i know his hiding spot....im sure he's a goner

Let us know if he shows back up.

I think if something bad happened to him, you would have seen parts of him at least. I agree with the molting ideas.
