Just wanted to say I had an awesome time this morning at the DIY workshop at David K's house. For those of you who didn't go, you should definitely check into going to a future one. No pics, cuz I don't do those, but it was an awesome time, and I got to bring home a QT tank.

Have to agree with Brannon on this one, and yes David does good a great burger ( I had 2)
Great presentation and lots of fun!!! Will post pics after I get the pump and light setup.
Almost forgot to thank Kari as well for being a great hostess as well!
Looking forward to some more advanced stuff coming out of Deltona!!!!!
George

I agree, today was a good time. Thanks Dave and Kari. I think you guys put on a great workshop. I cant wait for the next 1. And I also agree David has mad hamburger cooking skills.

Even though I ate my burger on the run, it was good too :P

And thanks again David and Kari for the great hospitality.

Outfitted with a CAP 400 40l/h
AZOO 13W 7200K PC bulb
Tank Dimensions are 12x5 3/4x8 1/4
Holds Approximately 9.5 litres or 2.5 gallons
Can't wait to decide where the first qt coral comes from

not a mag 7. was thinking out drilling for (2) 1/2" bulkheads and a durso and making the stand a sump with a maxijet return. but for right now a rio 800 is working good. dimension's come out to be 1.6 gallons since i didn't use george's jig. btw george i need 2lbs of rubble rock. i will use a 10 watt coralife pc fixture for the light and was think of getting a 2" tube and making a air driven skimmer in the back. so that's 125 times turnover and 6.25 wpg (with the same par rating as 150 metal halide):eek1:      . thankyou all i'll be back on stage at 8

I Just want you to know that rubble rock is in high demand due to the large volume of small qt tanks in circulation.....$$$$$$
I personally am not going to use anything in the tank due to possible cross contamination.

well i can get fusion at ocean's direct for 4 dollars a pound then break it up. so there. and try to see if the piece of s--- nano skimmer will fit in the rear of that thing. and by the way if you take off the prefilter cap on the rio's you can fit a small piece of prefilter and carbon material. and this one is the aka pico and will get another one a little larger from david for the qt. so my total tank volume in the house will be 21.6 gallons. at this rate i will have a nano in everyroom and will start looking like jason's house but i still can have funiture in the house:smokin:

Good luck during the curing process Joe!! My rubble is fully cured including coralline and any parasites you might want...LOL Water changes every couple hours may do the trick if you still want to use the fusion rock 5lbs should do it!!!
I have one more 20 tall drilled for a sump so you can do the durso thing with a MAG 12 return......Watch the hammer coral swirl....LOL

You guys are nuts. My tank is still sitting on the coffee table I set it down on before I grabbed my beer. lol I havent touched it nor thought about getting a pump yet. lol

Wow looks even better with a nice light on it. I set mine up and the cheap pump I had sitting around kicked the bucket. That is why I recommend the mini jets so much. Great picks.
