Todd's 180 DT System

I really enjoy how the green acros are growing out. Nice system!

Thanks,
The colors are a little off with the Iphone too.
As far as the Acros, my largest is a Bali Green Slimer;
Next is a blue tipped Green Acro, the Blue tipped Blue Acro, then blue tipped Purple Acro.
I also have the Blue MIlli, Rose Milli, and a Red Planet

Wow awesome looking tank! I love that you converted your 125 DT to your sump! I have a 125 and hate the dimensions. I want either a 180 or 210. Sorry if I missed if but what lights are you running on your DT?

I have the same skimmer but after 18 months the pump went so I upgraded to a bubble blaster 3000- Now its a real beast

Thanks dom and footy for the compliments and advice.

The skimmer motor- If it gives out, I'll upgrade for sure

My lights-
I use a Full spectrum/dimmable (2 channels only) LED from Ebay/Amazon.
about $100-115 ea., shipped. I'm using 3 of them.

They are Chinese, and marketed by several companies/sellers, I know XXpowertt and Evergrow were some of them.

Some top down shots, through the water surface, PH's off, no lens apparatus to put the camera underwater though:

A close up of some of my larger Hermits, the bigger one is about 1.5" accross

Thanks, I have several FTS's on here also.

Today:

Finally found my Pistol Shrimp today- Alive!
I was searching for it the last few days, thought I caught a glimpse of it yesterday, and reinvestigated today. It has made it's lair under some BIG rocks by clearing out the underneath, it cleared the sand/CC off the bottom glass. So I quickly moved my stand panels, got underneath- and low and behold, there it was!
I haven't seen it since it went in the DT on 6/21/15! I had heard it though.

This is 2 pics thru the bottom, glass- it's sitting right on the bottom.

Very nice.

The next stand I make, for the 265 btw, will have an open bottom. That way I can look up and through to see what is up there, well down there is more appropriate.

I will have to be VERY careful to NOT have anything swing up and hit the bottom..

Adding a 265, or going from 300 to 265?
I like the open bottom- all that is really needed is the perimeters supported- for glass tanks anyways. The bottom is tempered - awfully hard to break.
