I just bought a tods torch today and placed it towards the bottem of my tank. its mostly sps so I have a lot of current. im afraid its getting to much. it gets no direct current but the tenticles are beeing blown around pretty hard. can torches withstand this or do they need a much more gentler flow? it has only been in the tank about four hours but I expected to have a little more polyp extension as well. any thoughts or ideas?

It takes a few days to acclimate, but it should be fine in strong current. I've got 2 huge colonies of frogspawn in my 120g w/ 2x 6201s and 2x 6101s full blast, no problem.
Try to match the lighting it was used to, then slowly bring it up to more intense light--Euphyllia are pretty sensitive to light--put in lower if possible.

Mine favor mid to high...It was a week before 3/4 polyp extension and about a month before full extension....Try to match lighting and dont move it for a week at a time........you should notice some increase in extension every 3 or 4 days atleast......
