Tomato or Cinnamon?

I bought both of these Clowns from different LFS. One was supposed to be a wild caught Tomato, the other was suppose to be a Tomato also. They are two totally different colors and the shape seems to be a little different too. One is very red with no black on the body and a nice bright white stripe, and more egg shaped. The other is more of an orange with alot of black on the body and a white stripe, and more of a round shape. They get along well, the more orange with black colored one is the dominant of the two, and I assume is the female, and may be a Cinnamon if not a Tomato. The very red one I am 99% is a wild caught Tomato, and more than likely a male, since it submits to the other. Is it possible that they are both Tomatos, maybe one is just captive bred and the other is wild caught, or do I have a Tomato and a Cinnamon?

there both tomatos. there can be quite a difference in body shape and color for wc vs. cb clowns diet and water quality play a big factor.

have you ever seen the fiji color variant of a melanopus its very red.

and older more mature tomatos tend to have a darker body.

have they shown any interest in the nem yet?

if they take to it can you send me some pics of them in it to add to my clown/nem pic collection.

No, they have no interest in the carpet what-so-ever. I wanted to buy the bubble-tip anemone, but the seller couldn't get it off the rock, and I got a good deal on this one. Plus I like the fact I can put the carpet right in the middle of the tank in the sand it it stays there.

So what is the tell all difference in a Tomato and a Cinnamon?

The Cinnamon clown usually has black pelvic and anal fins..Tomato does not. Even as juveniles the Cinnamon has black pelvic and anal fins.

I see, I must have a wild caught and a tank raised then. Well atleast they get along and I am pretty sure one is male and one is female.
