Tommy P's 75g tank thread

Hey all. I don't think I made a tank thread and I'd like to share my journey and experiences with everyone. As well as gain useful feedback and advice from members here.

I've been in the hobby for only about a year now. My tank is turning out really well. I recently moved it back to the spot it's going to be in due to some construction. I started with a 55 and just got this 75 about 2-3 months ago. I'm content with the way everything is doing and settled in so far. I'll post pics tonight when I get home of everything.

I lost some corals and 2 of my anthias during the transfer

Thanks to some members on here and other sites, I was able to restock some frags.

Equipment:
75 Aqueon Glass Tank
20 long DIY Sump
Reef Octopus NWB-110 Protein Skimmer
Two Little Fishes Phosban 150 Reactor
Mag 9.5 return pump
Eshopps ph-800 overflow box
autotopoff.com set up w/ 10 gallon container
Two 120W Taotronic LED Lighting system

Fishes:
1-4'' Yellow Tang
1-3'' Hippo tang
2- Blue Eyed Anthias
2-Snowflake Clownfish

Inverts & such
2 - Cleaner Shrimp
handful of blue legged hermits and mixture of snails

Corals:
frogspawn
green & red montipora cap
variety of zoas
bubble coral
gsp
hammer coral
duncans
war coral
miami chalice
some small birdsnest frags
maybe some others too.

Pics will be taken on my iphone 5 as I do not have a fancy camera or anything

Also when I have some time I'll throw up my most recent parameters. Everything since the transfer (11/10) has been doing great.

Here are some pics that were on my phone. Hope this works.

Thanks, crappy iPhone pics will take better ones over the weekend. Moved some stuff around and got some more corals too.

I lost a cleaner shrimp yesterday for some reason. My gf called me I thought it was a molt at first but he's really gone. I still have 1 left, will be getting another soon too. They were buddies :(

Unless the light bothers you I would just put screen tops on.
While the link provided is simple & attractive it will require removal.
I don't think the opening is high enough to do anything but SIMPLE maintenance.

It never bothered me where I had it set up before, but now that I moved everything around it's right next to the love seat and a really comfy chair. When sitting down, the lights are distracting. I wouldn't mind removing the front piece, like in that video to feed/ etc.

On another note, I went to move my RODI unit inside last night so I can make some more RODI water for my top off containter and it broke! Two out of the 3 canisters on my BRS unit cracked off the threading. Water must of froze then expanded causing it to break off. This was really upsetting. Therefore having to drop $200 on BRS right now, the last thing I wanted to do. Got replacement canisters ( going to try this first to see if it works) and also a Hanna Calc tester.

im pretty sure you could get that canopy at country critters

Hey, Thanks man I'll check it out. The youtube video I posted of the canopy looks pretty neat too because it's open at the top, which is what I need.

I feel like if I spend $ on a canopy just to rip the top off it's stupid you know...

I'll take more pics tomorrow and post em up so you can tell how my lights are.

So i recently got a little baby 2'' blue maxima clam. I've always wanted a maxima clam.

Hope to see it grow and live a long long life.

Hey all so I haven't updated this in a really long time. Just been lurking.
