does anyone have a couple of pieces that they would be interested in selling?
i'm going to set up a seahorse tank and would like to put a few long slender pieces in it to give them some rock to hitch to.
i'll also have a couple of corals and macro algae but thought tonga branch would be better for them than the bulkier rock i have access to..:)

thank a lot,,, lisa

what does that LR look like

instead of being bulky and chunky it's branchy, just like the branch of a tree.

it doesn't have to be live, base pieces will do just fine...

hey bruce had some in lexington.

who is "Bruce" in lexington? does he run a store up there?

Bruce owns Fishy Business in Lexington, TN. He is a pretty good guy I have been doing business with him since he opened up. He has some nice tempora rock right now.

check memfish, every once in a while they have some in the base rock boxes under the live rock tubs

Good suggestion, but you would probably laugh a little if you knew she's pretty close to the owner of Memfish.

Lisa, what kind of seahorses you going to do?

i'm not real sure yet Tracy. there are so many different ones out there. all i've weeded out are dwarfs and i don't want anything wild caught...

i've been checking out the seahorse forums trying to narrow my choices down..

the tank is a 40 tall so i aught to be able to have a few pairs....

I think you'd be hard pressed to find what I think you want. Branch rock with small diameter branches doesn't survive shipping very well. There is that rock that seems to be old pocillopora and it has smaller diameter branches but they are not very long and the sharp craggy nature might be disadvantage as it pertains to snails and their inability to get into some of the tight places. Now you could make some by using liverock, artificial pieces, epoxy, and some imagination.

thanks Dave,,
i'm sure you'r right, branchy stuff would probably have a very poor survival rate.... i've seen some bigger branched stuff but nothing a seahorse could wrap his tail around..:)

i probably end up creating something with parts as you suggested...

thanks again,,, lisa
