Too fine of sand

I made a mistake of getting to fine of sand for my Nuvo15 tank. I'd like to get that floating particles out of the water column. Its been too months and i still see all the particles moving around. I was thinking of buying some special grade and putting it on top of my sand bed slowly with a spoon....has anyone tried this? will this work?

You can definitely add to your sand bed, I’ve done it before with no issues. Generally the more coarse sand will stay on top with the finer sand staying on the bottom. I would just be sure to rinse it well

As for clearing up the current situation, it’ll usually settle out but the particles you’re seeing may not be sand at all but just “stuff” in the water column. Usually a filter sock will help polish the water if you’re able to run one
