My ph is 7.4 is that going to harm my fish? Also what is the best way to test ph with strips or should i invest in a electronic one

your alk is probably low.

If it is really that low, then that is bad. However, it is not likely that it is. I would get a digital PH meter (or pen) and ditch the strips since they are often not correct. Test your alk with a quality test kit and post the results along with the kind of kit. If you alk is OK, then there is very little chance that your PH is that low unless you are in the middle of a cycle or something.
