Too many "bubbles"

I've noticed that there is a large amount of matter in my water. I can't seem to figure out what it is. They look like tiny bubbles coming out of the return pump. I've got a bubble trap on the return pump, and I've even got a foam wall to block anything else that might get in there.

My parameters are near perfect minus a lower-than-preferred salinity of 1.022.

I am also running Carbon in my sump along with a Protein Skimmer

Anyone know what might be wrong?

a lot of times micro bubbles come from any small leak in the plumbing letting air into the lines, or what was my case is too much flow through the sump which doesn't let the bubble trap do it's job.
