too many shrooms?

i have a rock about 5in. by 3in. COVERED in purple/blue dotted shrooms, and a small rock with 4 bright green velvet shrooms in my 26gal reef. is this too many mushrooms for such a small tank? i've heard that they release a lot of toxins compared to lps and softies.... and i'm wondering if this could have played a role in the death of several of my fish? my water parameters have been great and stable for about 5 months, and my various corals are happy in the tank... but i've lost a few fish now for no apparent reason. could my shrooms be the culprits?
here's a pic of the big rock...

Hmm...I don't think that would be the problem, specifically if other corals are in the tank and remain in good condition. IME, I've had a lot more mushrooms than that, and in smaller places, and I don't attribute any of the losses to shroom chemicals...

Btw...if you're that worried about it, run some carbon through a filter

I have a rock that is starting to look like that. They look sweet! Don't know about harm to fish, but my clowns steer clear of my shrooms.

When they get to crowded they just fall off the rock and spread to other places in the tank, I have a rock like that and have never had any problems.
