Too Much Agitation??

I have noticed that I am getting a lot of salt build up on my glass top is that a sign that there is too much agitation?

Should I only have one of the overflow jets pointing towards the surface? Right now I have two pointing towards the surface.

IMO...yes. Try different angles on your returns....

If you have an overflow and a sump ...do you still need to break the surface??

depends on bio-load....especially at night when the most O2 is consumed....but in most systems, have a overflow/sump should produce enough O2 as the water makes contact with air....(in the sump)...but really at the end of the day, it all depends on surface area

and a skimmer helps alot with getting O2 into your system......
