Too much blue light?

I'm in the process of purchasing new lighting. I'm planning on 2 96w actinics for the dawn/dusk effect that I like. Then mid-day running 2 250w Hamilton 14000k MH SE. I've seen similar pics of setups like this and they do look quite blue which I like but hard to tell from the pics if it's just too much blue. Thoughts?

I don't know if this helps or not but this is with 250w 14K Hamiltons and no actinic.

Nice! So it definitely isn't overly blue with the 14s. So I'm thinking with the addition of the actinics it may give me what I'm looking for.

Dubbin1 and I both use 250w 14k bulbs with no actinic suppliments. Dubbin1 uses the hamilton 14k and I am using the South Pacific Sunlight 14k bulbs.

Im using a Hamilton 14k 400W I bought it to get rid of my Actinics and run a single light drop the wattage and the heat. Thats the whole premis behind that Hamilton 14k to not have to run a seperate set of actinics, so far Im very pleased. Temp is easier to keep stable too. It did slow some growth down though but it was expected going from 10k's to 14k. Its very liveable though.

I am running 2 400w 14ks and 100% actinics and mine is absolutely not too blue for my tastes. I was running 10ks previously and I'm very glad I switched, FWIW.

I am running 2 250w Hamilton 20Ks and I still dont think it is too blue. And both your guys tanks posted above ARE AMAZING!!!

Thanks for the compliments. That picture was taken back in June and everything has really filled in since then and I have also added many new additions.

Yep, thanks thehedge! I just love the 14k bulbs, I get some good growth with some nice color and my bulbs are about 10" above the water line.
