I have 2 korlia 1400 and 2 korlia 750 in a 75 gallon reef they are on a smartwave wave maker 1 750 and 1 1400 on each side alternating back and forth. I was just wondering if it is too much for a 75 gallon alsoa 500 gpm return from sump thanks
But I had the same setup in my 90g and it shifted the sand around way to much.. It was creating bare spots in some areas and pushing sand dunes onto some of my LPS which caused some tissue damage. I ended up dropping down to 4 Evo 750's still alternating on a wave controller and my corals are happy and my sand stays put.
To help put it into perspective a little, my tank is 40x40x17 and I am running about 8700 gph when the pumps cycle to all full on, and that doesn't include the return pump. I still have a few dead spots.
I just simply informed him, with the same setup in a 90g it created issues and cost more money in the long run to buy new pumps to get my flow better suited to what was going in the tank.
