Too much flow?

I'm wondering if I could use a Mag 2 to feed my 20L refugium... I already have the pump from another application. The fuge for my new setup will sit in the cabnet, but above the sump so there would only be about 1' of head space (being fed from the sump), so the pump would push about 250 gph. Of course, once in the fuge, the water would be slowly pushed over a baffle into the main part of the tank... do you think this is too much flow? Not enough? Hope to hear your feedback.

When you plumb it to the fuge, put a t with a valve on it and a line to the sump. Use the valve to direct excess flow to the sump instead of the fuge. I feed my fuge that way off my main return line.
