too much light for my mushroom?

My mushroom is always flat against the rock, no stalk at all. Does is mean it's getting too much light? I've had it for a year now.

That's exactly what a discosoma should look like. No stalk on them. After a year, I would expect that it'd be spreading though. Maybe the corals around it keep it in check. Good lookin tank by the way!

The only time I see a stalk on mine is when they aren't getting enough light and they're reaching for it. I think yours looks fine.
