Too much light?

My current tank is a 65 Gallon reef(48"L X 12"W X 23" Tall, same size as a 55gal just taller) and I would like to start adding SPS corals. I bought a AquaticLife 48" 6 bulb T5 fixture (http://www.aquaticlife.com/t5ho_six_lamp/index.html) because I was thinking of upgrading to a 75 gallon at some point. The fixture is itself about 12"-13" wide and takes up the whole top of my tank.

My question is:

I have read that T5s put out a lot of par, so would 6 bulbs is too much light while its on my current set up? Should I remove 1 or 2 bulbs? If so which ones do I remove? The light about 4 months old and still has the cheap bulbs it came with. My goal is to keep a couple softies on the bottom, a few LSPs, but eventually have mostly SPS. Thanks

One leather that I can't move is about midway up the tank closed up under the new lights but might be doing better the last couple days. The others seems ok. I bought two Montis last week (My first SPS) a supernatural Monti Cap placed midway seems to be doing well but a purple rim Monti I placed just a couple inches higher was totally bleached white within a few hours. I have moved him down to the sand bed to see if he recovers. They were under Metal Hilades at the LFS so Im not sure what caused it to bleach so fast. The lights run for 9 hours(Down from 10 with my old PCs) and are about 5 inches above the tank.
