hey all i just got a new RBTA and it seems he is disliking the ammount of light he gets.... i have the 36" Current-USA orbit 24 hour light system they are 196 total output over a 46gallon bowfront tank. I have the lights set for 2 hours before of just the Actinic lights and 2 hours after with 12 hours on daylight. he seems to go in about an hour and a half every day before the daylights go off. and tonight he tucked way up in a rock and right after the lights went out he started to come back out within seconds... Is there any way im giving too much light to the tank with only 192 output?

You should always acclimate anything that goes into your tank this goes for the lights,water,temp. all of these are things the corals/fish/invertebrates need to slowly get used to. I would say do away with your daylights for a few days and just run the actinics and slowly increase daylight in like one hour intervals. JMO
in my 220 i have 3 400 watt halides along with VHO's. When i addded a rbta i positioned it about midway up the tank. The anemone has since moved to the top-most rock in the center of the display directly underneath one of the haides. It has been there for months and to the best of my knowledge has no intentions of moving.
