Hello everyone,
I have a few issues going on... I have a 29G HQI Biocube, nothing more... I have been traveling a lot and i was looking for a good water top off system?
Any Suggestions?
Thanks,
John

Tunze osmosulator. I've had one in my 90 for 6 years now....flawlessly doing it's job.

Only issue is the pump can't be too far away. Mine is in the basement so it can pump up about 8 feet of headpressure.

If you have to go a long distance from your supply, you will need a peristaltic pump. In that case, other than cost, the litermeter III is awesome. I've tried other methods on my nano with JBJ but finding a suitable pump (moving water around 35 feet) was a problem. The pump I have is noisy and big.

All in all, the osmosulator has all the safety features and reliability and I'm very comfortable recommending it.

I have the stand for my biocube, so the water will have to be pumped only 4 feet at the most... Thanks for the info

autotopoff.com. very inexpensive and easy to install. mine up and running for a year now.

+1 never heard any complaints about them. I use the double float switch version with an aqua-lifter pump. Get the snail guards if you are going to have it in your DT.

+2 got my order from them about 2 weeks ago with the solenoid for my r/o system. best money I've ever spent :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I am not so up to date with the products here on autotopoff.com

What do I need to get here? It looks like a lot of parts, not one kit...

it is one kit, the tank mount double switch controller

with 1" Tank Mounting Brackets (fits tank thickness between .25" and 1").

$60, and for $60 try to find another system that does it for cheaper, with as good of reviews and let me know

add the FT-130 Pump for $13

youre golden

but, to be fair the Avast system is pretty cool too

I got the tunze a month ago or it works like a charm. Make sure that the main sensor doesn't collect micro bubbles. It senses the air and thinks it needs to turn the pump on.

The pump had a small hum to it, but it only stays on for a few seconds at a time. Once you get used to it, you probably won't even notice it.

Bc29 ato

Bc29 ato

I use the JBJ ATO in my BC29 (non HQI). The floatswitch fits right into chamber 3 of the biocube. Works like a charm!

Sorry for jacking the thread... if i get one of these ato units from ato.com can i just place a 5 gallon bucket under my tank and hook up the unit to it can I use it as a dedicated ato system? my tank is not drilled and i dont have a sump. I like the idea of not haveing to do these manually.
