Topics for 2006-2007 CMAS meetings?

Since we didn't have a meeting in April or May and have a few month before we kick into gear again, I though I'd start a thread to solicit topics for next years meetings.

I like the idea of having a "vrtual tank tour" in addition to a speaker or other topic or having a meeting where we have 2-3 tank tours.

While this might not be the best idea to do at the Schaumburg Library (it will be a little messy), how about a "home made reef food meeting".
Everyone could bring an ingredient or two to a meeting and the club creates a massive batch of food. Something along the lines of Borneman's recipe. Everyone at the meeting walks out with a bag of food ready to take home and freeze.

It would be like the CMAS cooking show....

We could have a meeting where we all do the MJ Stream Mod. Other clubs have done this and it's been popular.

Or build calcium reactors. That'll eat into Doug's little cottage industry though so the Prez may rebel here!

Some sort of group DIY would be fun though and the MJ mod is getting easier with new "discoveries"

food, maxi-mod, photography all sound great to me. Calc reactor too as an alternative to calcium reactor.

I was thinking of a nuiscance prevention, eradication series like hair algae, briopsis, flat worms, red bugs, etc...

All good ideas.

The eradication is a great one - maybe do that as a few minutes on a particular nuisance at each meeting? We should document that part and put it on the board for those who can't make meetings (like me going forward - Sat afternoons get tight for me)

While I am not a member, I would really like to see this happen. This is what would get me to go to a meeting. I know that sounds horrible, but I am not just into the go to someones house and talk about fish thing. o)
