Topics for club meetings

This is a companion post to the one about times/hosts for upcoming club meetings. What I'd like to do is to get ideas here for topics that people would be interested in. Also, if you are interested in doing a presentation, or leading a topic discussion, you can volunteer here. I don't think you have to consider yourself an expert in a subject to lead a topic -- I view this more as reefers helping other reefers out. I will go ahead and volunteer to lead a topic at the next meeting on Salinity and Salinity measurement. C_stowers also sounds like he has someone who can give us a talk on foam fractionation and skimming at a future meet. Once we have enough topics/volunteers for future meets, we can start to match topics with meeting dates. So here is a list of potential topics. Feel free to vote for ones you like, suggest new ones, and volunteer for ones you think you'd like to lead:

Refugiums and other methods of nutrient export

would like to learn more about refugiums, plumbing and sumps, fragging and dips/coral treatment......good topics crumbletop.....would be nice to get more informed on these things.

Something I wish we could do once and awhile is a "chop shop". It would help with the fragging techniques topic as well. If members were willing it would be cool to order a nice big colony of something and frag it at meetings. This way those of us who have always wanted that rare piece but not afford it could. Just an idea....
