topping off a 20 gal (rookie question)

I need to top off my 20 gal for the first time. My SG is stable at 1.022 and I was curious if I should mix some salt into my water I was planning to top it off with. It prolly needs less than a gallon. Any suggestions or advice would be great!!!

Top off with fresh water only. The salt does not evaporate very much.

Only use salt water when doing water changes.

No it should not. As long as you do water changes occasionaly

Actually, to tell you the truth, if I go awhile without waterchanges, my sg actually creeps up a little. Dont know why ?

One more thing. If you have fish only. 1.022 is fine and in fact where I keep my FO tank, but if you have some corals, I would bump it up a little.
