I have a torch coral and it only has 2 heads but now I'm wondering if theses corals can multiply and grow more heads or reproduce? Has anyone had this happen?

All corals except for scolys and plate type coral can grow more heads. I had a 3 headed frog spawn and it is now 12 heads with about 4 baby heads popping out with very tiny tentecles.

Rod's Food for the fish. They catch whatever is floating by. This one got to around 60 heads before I had move it.It broke up during the move. Now I have about 3 with 20 heads. Just keep everything in check and they will grow like mad.

i have a bunch of lps including torches frogspawns and hammers ,wall and branching . i always had good levels of everything until six months ago and i could see it in they way my corals were growing as they basically stopped . once i figured out that i was chewing up lots of calcium and started dosing accordingly they kicked right in so be sure to keep testing as they will require more and more as they grow . i didn't take that into consideration and found out the hard way ,didn't lose anything but time .

I have to admit. My torch doesn't grow at all but all my other corals do. My hammer is about 50 heads, but my torch just doesn't grow.

Well I had my torch for over 6 months and it hasn't grown at all! When I first got it it was fine and would always extend it's tenticles out pretty long, now the tentacles don't even come out as much as they used to! I don't know what the problem could be. I have another torch coral in the same tank and that one seems to do very good so it can't be the water right? Or calcium levels etc. What do you guys think it might be that it's not extending out very far?

500 is certainly high enough , i also dose with brightwells ,strontium ,magnesium ,iodine and koral color which has really made a big difference with my corals . i also dose calcium and alk as most do anyway . along with 20% weekly water changes to keep everybody happy with reef crystals made with ro/di water .
Tinymouse ~ i really dont know as all of mine seem to be very extended but every now and then a few heads on one of my colonies retracts for a couple of days and then snaps right back to normal . you could try to dip the effected coral and see if that helps out . every new coral that i get gets an iodine based dip for ten minutes and then an interceptor dip for 24 hrs to ensure no hitchhikers are making it into my tanks .
