Torch Coral Issues

Quick question..what are the main reasons for change in extension for Torch Corals. I have had a Torch for about a month, it was doing great for 3.5 weeks full extension color was good. Just a couple of days ago all of a sudden it wont extend that much. Seems to extend less everyday.

Alk. 11.8 dkh
Mag 1350
Nitrates 5
Phosphates 0
Nitrites / Am - 0
PH. 8.2

could be several things. time for a water change? what have you done to the tank recently? anything that correlates with the extension that you changed in the tank? I have all 3 euphyllia species and sometimes, they just don't extend a lot, other times they love to extend with no reason that i can tell what so ever. if the coral is still looking healthy and your parameters are good i wouldn't sweat it too much.

Do you have Clownfish that have adopted it as a "pseudo-anemone"?

clownfish will adopt almost anything as their "pseudo-anemone" as you call it, or host. Right now i have 2 oscellaris clowns that are hosting a couple of powerheads that I have.
