torch coral question

I came home from work today and my torch coral looked great. Did some water tests and all params were good. Since then I have noticed that the coral has shrunk up. Its been an hour since I first noticed. Should I be worried? Could a snail or hermit cause this? There is a green slimer frag above the coral (not within sweeper distance) that has all of its polyps out. Any suggestions? I think I am just too worried so far. But since its my new favorite coral (had it for just a few days but it was doing extremely well... reaching really far since the beginning)

it is probably just releasing it's waste. I wouldn't be too worried at this point. If your params looked good, you should be fine. Check it again tomorrow and it will look as good as new

Its probably just got bothered a little bit by something in your tank. If its still like this tomorrow I would take a pic and post your water parameters here.

it was looking a little better before bed last night and this morning its still small but not completely shrunk like before. Could someone explain releasing its waste? Its obvious what it is but just a little more about it?

They only have one orifice to consume/release waste. So anything they ingest, has to come back out. This is also common with Anemones
