Torch Coral Vs Green Torch Coral Tentical Length

I see, I recently picked up a green torch and I noticed its not expanding its sweepers to the length of a regular torch thats also in the same tank. Its been in a tank for 3 days and would too much flow cause it to not expand as much ?

that is a definetly possibility. there a bunch of different coral species that i know of that are named "torch coral" would you happen to have a picture handy?

yeah they will all have different lengths if the corals themselves are different sizes. Torch corals of the same size will have sweeper tentacles of the same length.

Not always;
I have seen torches the same size as mine, only the sweepers on mine are twice as long. I believe sweeper tentacles can also be created on an as needed basis by the coral. If the torch senses an impeding coral or anything, the torch has the ability to extend it's sweepers. I heard flow can also affect the development and size of sweeper tentacles.

My 3 torchs are all right next to each other, all 3 build different size skeletons and all 3 have different size tenticles. My first torch is from Australia, and it is by far the biggest. Its tenticles are about 1/4" thick and extend about 5", its skeleton/branches are about 2"-2.5" in diameter. My second torch is the smallest its tenticles are about 1/16" thick and extend about 1.5", its skeleton/branches are only 1/2" in diameter. My third has 1/8" tenticles, 6"-7" extension, and 1" skeleton/branch.
