where do you think is the best placement for a torch coral?? (top, middle, bottom) And how much light(directly under, or off to the side- indirect light)?

thanks

i really don't know much but i do know that the people who give you the answers will want to know what lighting and water flow you have in your tank

hi, i'd go middle to lower, depending on what sort of torch it is id keep it in a low flow area, as if its a long tentacled torch they can produce massive sweeper tentacles which will strech on the current and sting neighbouring corals, they pack a punch too!!!

I had mine at the bottom of the tank. It seemed to like the lighting(260W PC). As far as flow, It looked like he was getting to much.

I just moved him yesterday. Middle of the tank with less flow. Seems to like his placement. He really "opened up" after a few hours of 260W.

These guys like light. MH is not required. As far as flow, lower the better.
