Torch extension

I have had a torch in my tank for the last couple of months, it doesn't seem to be dying but it just won't extend like it did in the store. It opens maybe an inch, but was maybe three inches in the tank it came from. I've placed it in several areas of my tank anywhere from a par reading of 96 up to about 270. And from a little flow to quite a lot. Same disposition everywhere.

Parameters
MG 1320
Alk 9.2
CA 415
Nitrates don't read but I have never been able to get them up tank ~4 months.

My zoas are growing, other than that I have a monticap that is similar to the torch maybe a bit happier looking.

I meant to include this previously, what strikes me as odd is no matter the extension the tentacles always droop. I got a hammer yesterday, it has extended but is drooping as well instead of the tentacles reaching up

I have it in pretty low flow, but probably a little too bright of light as it seems to be becoming paler. guess i'll try and find it a darker spot.

My recommendation is that if a coral is sulking, bleaching, stretching, receding, whatever, first check your parameters. If off, correct.
If the coral is still in any way iffy, move it.
Bleaching, move it down.
Stretching, move it up.
Limp, give it some flow.
Receding, take away some flow.
I move my corals at the first sign of any distress.
That being said, I find torches can be problematic.
Last tank i had 2, 1 did great, the second one languished for months, lost a head, then i gave it away.
Obviously I couldn't give it the care it needed.
This tank, no torches, didn't want to bother.

It could be hungry. No nitrates is not good for LPS. My Electric Green Torch is on the top of my rocks and extends a good six inches at times. It's under two Kessil A360we's which top out at 40% intensity for three hours.

I have a hammer coral that was getting pale and I moved it into indirect lighting. No improvement. I recently moved it into a brighter area and it has since regained it's deep coloration. Sometimes coral act weird and no matter what you do they don't do well.
