Torch flow: Is this a safe assumption?

Hi all,

I've just added my first torch into my display, a very pretty purple torch with lime green tips.

Is it safe to assume that if the flow is too strong for the torch, then it would not be fully expanded/open?

I placed the torch at mid-level in my tank, but I'm concerned that the flow might be too strong for it, judging from some youtube videos that I've watched, most people seem to have just a gentle "swaying" of their tentacles.

Would it be safe to assume that if the flow is too strong for the torch, it would retract and tell me, before any damage is done?

Or would the torch continue to expand regardless of any danger of it being damaged from too much flow?

Thanks in advance!!

Cheers.

Edit: Whoops, This is in the wrong section... :uhoh3:

I'm not an expert but I'd say medium flow/nice flowing tentacles is what your after. If the flow is too strong then it will definitely tell you. Good luck!:)

Thanks for the reply.

Well so far the torch hasn't shown any negative signs, such as receding, so I'm going to assume that it doesn't mind the flow that it's currently in... Although it does seem to get the occasional big gust of flow that whips it around.

I just hope that my assumption isn't wrong, and it ends up damaging itself because of it.
